Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Cleon Wright (ranked 1950 p4p, 2157 weight class) and Anti Happy (ranked 213 p4p, 234 weight class). Wright comes into the arena with Come out to play blaring out of the sound system. Happy has chosen Bvana iz lagune & Mikri Maus - AntiHepi as his entrance music. This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

With a record of 14 - 21 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Anti Happy!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Paul Tew and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Happy throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Wright tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Happy is in Wright 's guard.
Wright keeping moving, preventing Happy from controlling successfully.
Wright has his hands on Happy's head, controlling the position.
Happy postures up and lands a big shot to Wright 's brow.

Happy wants to pass the guard but Wright is keeping the position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Happy drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Wright manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Happy has Wright in his guard.

Happy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wright defends it easily.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Happy is trying to get back to full guard.

Wright decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Wright appears to be looking for a big counter.
A looping hook to the body misses from Wright . Happy does a little dance to reset his feet.
No luck for Happy with that takedown attempt.
Wright slips a jab and a cross from Happy.
Wright leaves Happy with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Happy throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wright works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Wright holds on and takes a little breather.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wright is on top in guard.

Wright has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.

Happy working for a triangle but Wright defends it easily.

Happy is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Happy goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Wright has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Happy but great work by Wright .

Horrible takedown attempt by Happy or perhaps it was just good defense by Wright , which made it look bad.

Anti Happy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Wright cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Happy is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wright fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Happy on the side of the head.

and Wright connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
No luck for Happy with that takedown attempt.
Happy misses with a takedown attempt - Wright sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
It looked like Wright was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Happy.

A little feinted left hand from Wright on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Happy shoots in but Wright avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Wright counters with a nice right hand that sends Happy toppling to the canvas! Happy scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Wright finish him?!

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Happy fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Wright to the ground. Happy is now in Wright 's guard.
Happy is still in real trouble! Can Wright finish him?
Happy trying to control the position from guard on top but Wright is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Happy seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Happy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wright haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
