Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jaycee Veto (ranked 5349 p4p, 23605 weight class) and Mariusz Pudzianowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pudzianowski throws a leg kick that is checked
and Veto counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

It looks like Mariusz Pudzianowski has been cut.
Veto chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Pudzianowski can pounce on him.

Pudzianowski wants to slow Veto down by chopping away at his legs.
Veto throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Pudzianowski staying out of range there.
Pudzianowski lands a leg kick that knocks Veto off balance momentarily.
Pudzianowski tried to score with a low kick but Veto checks it.
Some bone on bone action there as Veto checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Pudzianowski displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Veto throws out the jab.
Nice defenses there by Pudzianowski.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Veto lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Pudzianowski at a distance.
Veto throws a lazy right hand but Pudzianowski sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Pudzianowski throws a counter combo.
Pudzianowski does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Pudzianowski lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Veto lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
A big left from Veto misses.
Pudzianowski tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Veto throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Veto misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pudzianowski.

Veto drops Pudzianowski with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Pudzianowski looks back up at him and smiles so Veto waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Pudzianowski is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Veto lands an uppercut, right on the button! Pudzianowski tumbles backwards into the cage, staring vacantly into space! He's got no idea where he is, who he is or what day it is... Poor guy.

A relieved looking Jaycee Veto thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
