PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Bone Breaker (ranked 1008 p4p, 1664 weight class) and Kari Mountain (ranked 157 p4p, 241 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bone Breaker!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kari Mountain!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Anni Minnemäki and Ben Zyskovitsi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Breaker looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Mountain is fending him off so far but Breaker persists. Nope, Mountain circles away and we're back to standing.

It looks like Bone Breaker has been cut.

and Mountain counters with a good low kick that Breaker was not able to check.
Breaker tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Mountain defends well and Breaker ends up having to push Mountain into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Still in the clinch, Mountain scores with a nice short uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Breaker shoots in looking for a takedown but Mountain manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Breaker's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mountain looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

Horrible takedown attempt by Breaker or perhaps it was just good defense by Mountain, which made it look bad.

Breaker shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mountain as he avoids it easily.
A little jabbing left from Mountain on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Mountain controls Breaker momentarily but Breaker frees himself.

Breaker might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Breaker stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mountain swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mountain really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Breaker. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Mountain can't keep his opponent in guard - Breaker advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Mountain is in trouble now - Breaker has advanced to mount!

Breaker jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Mountain is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Mountain and Breaker has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.

Breaker thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Mountain is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Breaker is controlling him well.

Breaker is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Mountain has escaped the position, nice work there.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
You can see the frustration on Mountain's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Mountain is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

Breaker swings around for an armbar but Mountain sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Breaker's guard.

Breaker is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Breaker looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Breaker has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mountain can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Breaker has his foot on Mountain's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Mountain works his way back into a safe position though.
