Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Byson Fury!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 20 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Maverick Syndal!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Fedor Mirinova and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fury throws a hook but Syndal blocks it.
The crowd cheers as Syndal lands an impressive looking overhand right. Fury doesn't seem phased though.
Fury just misses with a punch to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Syndal. Fury shrugs it off though.
Fury throws a low kick but Syndal avoids it.
Fury throws a hook but Syndal avoids it easily.
Syndal misses the shot to the body.
Syndal scores with a decent looking hook.
It looks like Byson Fury has been cut.
A head kick by Fury misses
and Syndal counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Fury throws an off balance right hand
and Syndal cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Syndal fakes the leg kick and cracks Fury in the body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fury takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Maverick Syndal seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Fury turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Fury throws a leg kick
and Syndal finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Syndal scores with a nice right hand.
Syndal cracks Fury with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Fury looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Syndal finish him?
Fury is rocked!
Syndal fakes the body blow, causing Fury to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Fury goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
