This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the lightweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of New York, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 13 losses; Marc Read! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 16 wins and 18 losses; Bazar Al Jhit!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Al Jhit feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

We've been hearing good reports from Read's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
