The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sinja gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Subway fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Subway is stalling here.
Subway tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sinja smiles and moves away.

Sinja closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Subway did well to prevent Sinja getting side control.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Subway is staying active underneath Sinja, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Sinja really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Sinja stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Subway has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Sinja manages to get his head free but now Subway has transitioned to an armbar! Sinja grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Subway! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

In his post fight interview, Jared Of Subway started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
