Dunlap has chosen Born To Be Wild as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Willy Sanchez is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Willy Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Dunlap!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Donatello Bradman and Winston Howard.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sanchez looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

Dunlap looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Dunlap wants to improve his position but Sanchez is controlling well.
Sanchez tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Dunlap flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Dunlap is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Sanchez pulls his head out easily.
Dunlap wants to improve his position but Sanchez is controlling well.

Dunlap is defending against the submission attempts here by Sanchez.
Dunlap really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sanchez. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sanchez prevents Dunlap from improving his position.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Dunlap has taken the fight to the clinch.

Dunlap lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Sanchez has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dunlap avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Dunlap lands a good knee to the midsection. Sanchez won't want to take too many of those.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dunlap creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Dunlap ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dunlap no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Sanchez works over Dunlap with some ground and pound from guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Dunlap is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sanchez pushes a forearm under Dunlap's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Dunlap is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!
