Gonzalezz shoots in but Pomfrey avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Gonzalezz is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Pomfrey still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Pomfrey has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pomfrey looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Gonzalezz tries to roll over but Pomfrey keeps him under control.
Gonzalezz wants to get back to full guard but Pomfrey has passed into side control.
Pomfrey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gonzalezz. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gonzalezz will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Gonzalezz wants to work for an arm triangle but Pomfrey is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Gonzalezz postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Pomfrey is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gonzalezz, into his guard.
Pomfrey would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Gonzalezz working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pomfrey doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pomfrey manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
