This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the super heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Helsinki, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 3 losses; Osiris Egyptian! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 5 wins and 9 losses; Matt Barnes!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Dean Styles and Steve Montenegro.

Barnes forces Egyptian back against the cage and clinches.
Barnes drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Egyptian gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Egyptian is pressed up against the cage. Barnes has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Egyptian down to the mat. Egyptian avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Osiris Egyptian has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Matt Barnes.

Barnes has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Mentor Gym. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.
Egyptian has improved his flexibility recently so we will have to see if he can use that to his advantage.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Barnes tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Egyptian has advanced to mount. Uh oh.

What can Barnes do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
You can see the frustration on Barnes's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Egyptian keeps control of the position easily here as Barnes tries to buck him off.
Egyptian has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Egyptian tries to advance to mount but Barnes denies him.

Egyptian seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Barnes does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
