Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Kogos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ralph Long!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Percy O'Donnell and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Long gets in close and instigates a clinch.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Long has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Long lands with a short head shot on the inside.
It looks like Paulo Kogos has been cut.
Long misses with a punch to the body.
Long lands a right hand that snaps the head of Kogos backwards.
Kogos tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Long's elbow.
Kogos lands a nice shot to the body.
Kogos throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Longs head.
Kogos pressing his opponent against the cage.
Kogos's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Long doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Kogos cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kogos works Long's body with a nice hook.
Kogos ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Long moves away.
Long misses with the body kick
and Kogos counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
An inside leg kick lands from Long.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Long throws a poor cross that misses
and Kogos counters with a huge right that knocks Long out cold! Kogos is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!

Paulo Kogos took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
