The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Frank Dennis and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zwafigan throws a series of punches but Vasques avoids them all with ease.
Vasques closes the distance and clinches up with Zwafigan, looking for a takedown. Vasques pushes Zwafigan against the cage but Zwafigan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Zwafigan misses with the combination.
Vasques shoots in but Zwafigan avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Vasques changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Zwafigan looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Vasques slips a jab and a cross from Zwafigan.
Zwafigan lands a nice shot that snaps Vasques's head back.
Vasques takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Zwafigan tries to bum rush Vasques with a series of wild strikes but Vasques uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.

Vasques shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Zwafigan swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Vasques counters with a shoot takedown. Zwafigan fights it but they end up in guard.
Zwafigan is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Vasques wants to improve his position but Zwafigan is controlling well.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Oh Vasques is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Vasques ducks straight into an uppercut from Zwafigan and tumbles to the canvas! It’s a flash knockdown though - Vasques maanges to regain guard straight away.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Vasques is on top in guard.

Zwafigan is looking to stand up but Vasques isn't so interested in that idea.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Vasques drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Zwafigan manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Vasques has Zwafigan in his guard.

Zwafigan rushes Vasques with punches - Vasques moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Vasques goes down! Zwafigan follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
