Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brock Lesner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bubba Joe!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Gwen Towbar and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lesner shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Joe defends it nicely.
Lesner tries for a takedown but Joe sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Lesner shoots in for a double leg but Joe sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Lesner is looking to take a break and control but Joe is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Lesner shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Joe pinned against the cage. Joe gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Joe thuds his right hand into Lesner's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Joe looks to land a combination but Lesner avoids it well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Lesner throws a strike but Joe rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

Joe looks to land a combination. Lesner sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.


It looks like Brock Lesner has been cut.

Joe displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lesner.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lesner looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Joe is fending him off so far but Lesner persists. Nope, Joe circles away and we're back to standing.

Lesner shoots in looking for a takedown. Joe tries to sprawl out of it but Lesner keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Joe manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Joe cracks a nice hook into Lesner's ribs.
Joe connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Joe scores with a one two! Lesner had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Lesner tries to move into range but Joe moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Joe rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Lesner moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Joe tries to bum rush Lesner with a series of wild strikes but Lesner uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Lesner shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Joe is trying to defend but Lesner finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Joe regains full guard. Nicely done.
Lesner throws and elbow that misses. Joe uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Lesner's guard. Nice move by Joe!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Bubba Joe showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

That's time! Lesner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Joe throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Lesner shoots in for a takedown but Joe shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Joe scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Joe keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
