Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Baxter Broxton (ranked 5316 p4p, 24781 weight class) and King Trevena (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Broxton tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Trevena counters with a head kick.
Broxton throws a series of punches but Trevena avoids them all with ease.
And Trevena responds with a good body kick, but Broxton manages to step out the way in time.
Broxton lands with an overhand left.
A punch combination from Broxton misses.
Trevena steps in looking to counter with the mid kick but it doesn't connect.
Broxton tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Trevena manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Trevena is clearly looking to counter with head kicks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Broxton throws a leg kick that misses.
Broxton throws a leg kick but Trevena sees it coming and moves out of range.
Trevena shapes to counter with a head kick.
Broxton fails with an attempt to clinch.
Trevena replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Broxton blocks it well.

Broxton lands a left and a right that send Trevena crashing to the mat, dazed. Broxton thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Trevena is rocked!

It looks like King Trevena has been cut.

Trevena is still on wobbly legs! Can Broxton finish him?
Broxton throws a big uppercut that drops Trevena ! More strikes from Broxton and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Trevena lies dazed against the cage as Broxton celebrates with his cornermen!
