PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Anti Half Assed (ranked 1417 p4p, 1420 weight class) and Moe Lester (ranked 197 p4p, 198 weight class). Lester comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Get Back - Ludacris kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Half Assed throws a jab but it's blocked by Lester.
Half Assed misses with a hook
and Lester makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Half Assed sizes up Lester with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Half Assed throws a lazy right hand but Lester sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Half Assed doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Lester lands a glancing blow to the side of Half Assed's head.
Half Assed tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Lester manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

It looked like Half Assed was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Lester.
Half Assed darts in looking for a takedown but Lester gets double underhooks and turns Half Assed into the cage.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Half Assed is pressed up against the cage. Lester has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Half Assed down to the mat. Half Assed avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Half Assed lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Half Assed closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Lester to the mat! Lester manages to get full guard.

Half Assed drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lester looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lester looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lester!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Half Assed has his foot on Lester's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lester works his way back into a safe position though.

Half Assed isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Lester stacks Half Assed on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Lester!

Lester might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
