Holiday comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Stranger Things Theme Song kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Guo tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Holiday manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Holiday keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Holiday lands a nice shot to the body.

Holiday drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
You can see the frustration on Guo's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Guo is looking to regain half guard here but Holiday keeps moving and retains side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Guo's coaches at Cozad MMA Las Vegas have been working on his defensive grappling in preparation for this fight so let's see if he can get out of this tricky position.
Guo is not content to let Holiday control the position.
Guo sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.

Holiday lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Holiday throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Guo to regain full guard.
Holiday really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Holiday keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Guo's head.
Holiday is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.

In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Holiday working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Holiday must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Holiday gets to his feet and stands over Guo, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Guo felt that one! Holiday unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Guo from any more punishment!
