The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Esponosa lands with a straight right. Timms didn't see that one coming.

Esponosa changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Timms looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Esponosa has control of Timms's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Timms regains control of the situation pretty easily.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Esponosa is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Timms is just riding it out for now. Esponosa eventually gives up the hold.
Timms has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Esponosa is working away from the top position though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Timms reaches up to try and pull Esponosa in and control his posture, but Esponosa latches on to an arm and pivots quickly for an armbar! Timms taps out and this one is all over!

Ricardo Esponosa spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
