Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between William Spud (ranked 1987 p4p, 1697 weight class) and J Gay G (ranked 203 p4p, 181 weight class). Spud's entrance music is Havana. A fine choice. Gay G is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Down. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 36 - 19 - 0, fighting out of London, William Spud!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 24 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, J Gay G!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Albert Achterberg and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gay G throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Spud is looking for a counter combo.
Gay G's coach down at Punch Out Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Gay G's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Spud slips a jab from Gay G.
Spud misses with a hook
so Gay G counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Spud is on top in guard.
Gay G is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Gay G pulls Spud in close to his closed guard and prevents Spud from doing any damage or advancing position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Spud's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Gay G looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Gay G is looking to sweep but instead, Spud has passed into half guard.
Gay G is looking to control Spud's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Gay G avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gay G holds on for dear life, maintaining half guard for now.
Gay G tries to get to full guard but Spud has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gay G is still trying to improve position.
Well, if Spud is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Gay G is doing well to control the position and prevent Spud from advancing to side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gay G wants to control but Spud is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
Gay G ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Spud moves away.
Spud avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Gay G throws a body punch but Spud moves out of range.
Spud looks to throw the jab but Gay G is out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Spud displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gay G throws out the jab.
Spud on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Gay G. Gay G obviously looking to wear him down.
Gay G misses with a wild body shot.
Gay G throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Gay G keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Spud.
Spud wants to slow Gay G down by chopping away at his legs.
Spud looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gay G swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
As Gay G backs away, Spud returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
A jab from Gay G does it's job there.
Gay G misses with a body shot.
Gay G misses with a straight left.
A punch lands to the side of Gay G 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Gay G swings widly with a right hand
and Spud counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Gay G moves out of range as Spud strikes.
A jab lands there for Gay G.
Gay G connects with a right hand. Spud shakes it off.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Gay G's corner calls for a 1-2. Gay G obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Spud tries to bum rush Gay G with a series of wild strikes but Gay G uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Spud throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
And Gay G tries to counter it with a takedown but Spud pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Gay G lands a jab to the nose.
Spud misses the jab.
Gay G fails with the takedown.
Spud throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gay G shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Spud but Spud pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Spud misses with a low kick.
Gay G misses the shot to the body.
J Gay G seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gay G moves out of range as Spud strikes.
Spud closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Gay G tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Spud was well out of range. Poor timing from Gay G.
Gay G blocks a jab.
Gay G takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
A jab from Spud misses.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but J Gay G will probably get the nod.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Gay G moves into range and connects with a jab.
Gay G has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Spud finds it's way round the side to connect with Gay G's head.
Gay G bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Gay G throws a wild hook but Spud just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Gay G gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Spud raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:16 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). William Spud!
After winning the bout, William Spud thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
