Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Nathan Gonzales!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A nice inside leg kick there by Gonzales. That's going to slow Lasner down.

Gonzales changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Lasner looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Lasner is pushing Gonzales's head away, looking to escape. Gonzales manages to hold on to the position though.
Lasner tries to slip a leg under to move to half guard but Gonzales presses down on the leg and jumps into full mount!
Gonzales blocks Lasner's feeble attempts to strike from the bottom.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Lasner is arching his back trying to strike from the bottom but Gonzales turns him over and now has his back.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Lasner accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Lasner drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Gonzales gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Gonzales fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Lasner changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Gonzales fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Gonzales throws a head kick that Lasner semi-blocks.


It looks like Brock Lasner has been cut.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lasner is trying to stand up here but Gonzales is controlling him well.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Gonzales manages to capitalize on a mistake by Lasner to take his back!
Gonzales is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Gonzales lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
Lasner is defending well here and trying to improve his position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Gonzales has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Lasner's body.

Gonzales's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Gonzales is looking to control Lasner but Lasner is wriggling around and keeping busy.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Lasner tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!

Nathan Gonzales showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!



Lasner drives through with a takedown into guard.

Gonzales has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Lasner off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Lasner can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Gonzales is looking to escape.
Gonzales tries to reverse the position but Lasner maintains control.

Lasner fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
