Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Willie Cole (ranked 4226 p4p, 4202 weight class) and Shony Sloan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sloan lands the left hand.

It looks like Willie Cole has been cut.
Cole takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Cole tries to keep at a distance but Sloan has taken the fight into the clinch.
A frustrated look appears on Cole's face as he tries to break the clinch.

Cole swings wildly with an uppercut but Sloan uses good head movement to avoid it.

Cole is looking to control Sloan's arms but Sloan gets an underhook and turns him. Now Cole has his back to the cage.

Cole tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Sloan smiles and moves away.

Sloan's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Cole wants to clinch but Sloan slips to the side
and Sloan cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Cole is trying to drag Sloan to the mat but Sloan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

It looked like Cole was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Sloan swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Cole.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sloan fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Cole on the side of the head.
Sloan has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
A jab from Sloan finds it's way through Cole's defenses.

and Cole moves into the clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Cole has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sloan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Sloan blocks an uppercut.

Sloan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Sloan bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Cole's head.
Cole changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Sloan tries to avoid it but Cole manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Sloan to the ground. Sloan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Sloan looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Nice uppercut lands for Sloan. That snapped Cole's head back.
Cole moves forwards but Sloan connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Oh Cole is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Sloan sends Cole crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Sloan is motioning to the referee to let Cole up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!

Sloan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Cole looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Sloan lands a nice hook to Cole's body. Cole takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
