Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dave Davey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antonio Inoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The key to victory for Dave Davey has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davey moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Davey lands a jab to the nose.
Inoki shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Davey but Davey pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Inoki throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Inoki is working to get back to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davey lands a big shot there that rocks Inoki but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Davey connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Davey can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Inoki is looking to escape.

Inoki bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Inoki lands a couple of elbows.

Davey working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Inoki doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Inoki manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Davey wants to stand but Inoki is controlling the position.

Inoki drops back looking for a leg! Davey is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Davey manages to kick Inoki off! Inoki jumps back into Davey's guard.

Davey is looking to control Inoki's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Davey avoid being mounted?

Inoki looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A big strike lands for Inoki! That's really hurt Davey and he's turned his back - Inoki keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Inoki Jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
