Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tomas O Conchuir (ranked 4083 p4p, 3896 weight class) and Kevin Savel (ranked 513 p4p, 494 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tomas O Conchuir!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kevin Savel!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
O Conchuir is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Savel fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A little feinted left hand from O Conchuir on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Savel has a takedown stuffed.
Savel avoids a punch combination nicely.
O Conchuir swings widly with a right hand
letting Savel counter with a right hand.
Savel bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
O Conchuir looks to throw the jab but Savel is out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
O Conchuir tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Savel was well out of range. Poor timing from O Conchuir.
Savel on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.

O Conchuir gets caught flat footed, as Savel shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
O Conchuir is looking to stand back up but Savel counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by O Conchuir.

O Conchuir is staying active underneath Savel, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
O Conchuir knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Savel on the ground.
Savel passes to side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
A lull in the action here as Savel stalls from top position.
Let's hope that Savel has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

O Conchuir is not content to let Savel control the position.
O Conchuir trying to remain calm as Savel controls from the top position.
Savel lands some shots froms side control.
O Conchuir is trying to buck Savel off.
O Conchuir avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Savel.

Savel decides to stand up, so the ref orders O Conchuir to his feet.

O Conchuir scores with a jab to the jaw.
O Conchuir looks to land a left hand but Savel moved out of range nicely.
Savel is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
O Conchuir throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Savel shoots in looking for a takedown but O Conchuir manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Savel's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Tomas O Conchuir has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kevin Savel.

Savel fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with O Conchuir, pushing him back against the cage.
Savel is looking for a takedown up against the cage. O Conchuir gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
A short right hand to the side of the head by O Conchuir.
O Conchuir throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Savels head.
O Conchuir is leaning against Savel and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Savel looks winded!
Savel wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
O Conchuir lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Savel or not.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
O Conchuir slowing the pace effectively.
O Conchuir stalling against the cage.
O Conchuir lands a body punch.

O Conchuir's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
O Conchuir fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Savel manages to avoid it.
Savel tries to counter with a clinch but O Conchuir shakes him off and moves away.
O Conchuir swings for the body but Savel moves out of range.
O Conchuir throws an overhand right that lands on Savel's shoulder, as Savel tries to avoid the shot.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
O Conchuir takes a swing at Savel's ribcage but misses.
O Conchuir missing with a left hand there. Savel was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
O Conchuir swings for the body but Savel moves out of range.
O Conchuir misses with a straight left.
Despite the aggression on Savel's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
O Conchuir misses with a looping left.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tomas O Conchuir dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

O Conchuir lands a nice hook to Savel's body. Savel takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
O Conchuir tries to clinch but Savel moves away

and Savel counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Savel stands up and waves to O Conchuir to follow him.
Savel uses good head movement to avoid the hook from O Conchuir.
Savel lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
O Conchuir just misses with a punch to the body.

O Conchuir gets tackled into the cage by Savel. Savel maintains the clinch.
Nice body punch from O Conchuir.
O Conchuir lands a body shot.
O Conchuir lands a right hand that snaps the head of Savel backwards.
O Conchuir stalling against the cage.
Savel trying to control the position but instead, O Conchuir has worked for underhooks and has pushed Savel into the cage.
The referee calls for O Conchuir to work.
Savel is breathing heavily.

That's one minute gone in the round.
O Conchuir is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.
Savel tries to work over O Conchuir's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
O Conchuir lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
O Conchuir is leaning against Savel and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, O Conchuir creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Savel is rocked!
O Conchuir pushes Savel against the cage. O Conchuir is working some dirty boxing. O Conchuir pushes off with a quick right hook! Savel goes down! Savel tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! O Conchuir moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:39 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tomas O Conchuir!
