Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Pedro Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, King Trevena !
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Seu Braga and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alvarez moves into the clinch successfully.
Trevena is looking to control Alvarez's arms but Alvarez gets an underhook and turns him. Now Trevena has his back to the cage.
Trevena misses with an elbow over the top.
Alvarez blocks an elbow strike from Trevena .
Trevena tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Alvarez's elbow.
Alvarez goes for a takedown attempt but Trevena pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Alvarez goes for a double leg but Trevena avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Trevena continues to drive forward.
Trevena tries to stall but Alvarez uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

Alvarez is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Trevena is defending well.

Alvarez has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Trevena wants to control but Alvarez is keeping busy and won't allow it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Pedro Alvarez will probably get the nod.

Alvarez closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

We've been informed that Trevena has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Alvarez's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Alvarez manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Alvarez escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Trevena gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Alvarez wants to sweep here but Trevena controlling him for the moment.

Trevena got a little sloppy there for a moment and Alvarez has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Trevena has managed to get both his arms back between Alvarez's legs - danger averted.
Trevena must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Alvarez is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Trevena can do to turn this around?

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

King Trevena comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
