Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Timmy Turles (ranked 23284 p4p, 3124 weight class) and The Dude (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Timmy Turles!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, The Dude!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Turles looks for a takedown but Dude sprawls well.
Dude flicks out a counter leg kick but Turles steps away.
Turles really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Dude tries to work over Turles's front leg with a kick but Turles checks it.
Turles closes the distance and clinches up with Dude, looking for a takedown. Turles pushes Dude against the cage but Dude circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

and Dude counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Turles shoots for a double leg takedown but Dude sprawls well. He's pushed Turles's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Dude creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Dude is pressed up against the cage. Turles has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Dude down to the mat. Dude avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Oh Turles is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Dude lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Horrible takedown attempt by Turles or perhaps it was just good defense by Dude, which made it look bad.
Turles is breathing heavily.
Turles looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dude is fending him off so far but Turles persists. Nope, Dude circles away and we're back to standing.
The Dude is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Dude moves into range and clinches up with Turles.
Turles seems to have got his legs back now.

Dude manages to break the clinch.
Turles fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Dude! But no joy.

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Turles checks a leg kick.

Dude darts in and clinches Turles up against the cage.
Turles can't get the takedown.
Turles has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Dude after a bit of a struggle.
Turles is looking to take this one to the mat.

Dude breaks the clinch.
Dude fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Turles is out of range.

Dude moves into the clinch successfully.

Dude breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Turles gets tackled into the cage by Dude. Dude maintains the clinch.
Turles has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Dude avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
Dude slows down the pace here.
Turles is looking to take this one to the mat.

Dude pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Dude lands an overhand right.
Turles walks into a left hand.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dude tries to land a front kick but Turles steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Turles is defended easily by Dude.

Turles shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.

Turles looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Dude throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Turles stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
