Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brendan Rowen (ranked 3027 p4p, 24084 weight class) and Rico Salvacion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Brendan Rowen has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Brendan Rowen seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 16 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rico Salvacion!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Topper Green and Francis DeMontford.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed right hand from Rowen misses the target.
Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Rowen blocks it well.

Rowen tries to sprawl but Salvacion drives through with a takedown into half guard.

Salvacion is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Rowen defends it well.
Salvacion is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Salvacion really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Rowen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Salvacion seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Rowen does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Rowen is looking for a sweep. Salvacion is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Rowen is looking to control Salvacion's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Rowen avoid being mounted?
Salvacion seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Salvacion ducks right into an uppercut from Rowen.
Rowen moves into range and connects with a jab.
Salvacion uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rowen.
Salvacion counters with a body kick.
Rowen throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Salvacion.

Rowen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Salvacion sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Salvacion replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Rowen blocks it well.

Salvacion throws a fast counter high kick but Rowen manages to duck under it in time.

And Salvacion responds with a good body kick, but Rowen manages to step out the way in time.
Salvacion fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Rowen avoids it really well and circles away.

Rowen feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Salvacion takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Rowen closes the distance and clinches up with Salvacion, looking for a takedown. Rowen pushes Salvacion against the cage but Salvacion circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

and Salvacion counters with a good, hard body kick but Rowen shrugs it off.

and Salvacion finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Salvacion dives in for a single leg takedown but Rowen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Brendan Rowen overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Rowen creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Salvacion sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Rowen is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Salvacion is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Rowen works to advance to full mount. Salvacion defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Rowen swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Salvacion is now in Rowen's guard. A big mistake from Rowen there, giving up the dominant position!
