Kalani's entrance music is Fiji National Anthem. A fine choice. Krakowski has chosen Netherfell - Mokosz as his entrance music. Kawehi Kalani has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bernard Krakowski!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Marco Blurström and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krakowski sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Kalani tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Krakowski was well out of range. Poor timing from Kalani.
Krakowski throws a body shot but no joy.
Krakowski just manages to avoid a counter high kick fromKalani.
Kalani throws a head kick but Krakowski moves out of range.
Krakowski looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Kalani throws a nice outside leg kick.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Kalani.
Kalani misses with a head kick.
Krakowski misses the shot to the body.
Kalani throws a front kick that sends Krakowski stumbling back into the cage.
Kalani misses with a kick to the body.
Kalani throws a head kick that misses.
Krakowski throws a shot from downtown. Kalani moves away and avoids it.
Kalani misses with a straight left.
An inside leg kick lands from Kalani.
Krakowski dives in for a single leg takedown but Kalani sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Krakowski catches Kalani with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Kalani misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Krakowski.

Kalani lands a big head kick that sends Krakowski tumbling to the mat! Kalani takes a step backwards and waves Krakowski back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Bernard Krakowski has been cut.

Krakowski slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
Krakowski moves out of range of the leg kick from Kalani.

Krakowski looking to score a takedown here. Kalani is defending well but Krakowski drives through and ends up in Kalani's guard.
Kalani controls Krakowski momentarily but Krakowski frees himself.
Kalani on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kalani tries to get out of the position.

Krakowski trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Kalani manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!

Kalani drops back, looking for a kneebar! Krakowski looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Krakowski looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Krakowski!

Kalani wants to control but Krakowski is having none of it.
Krakowski in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Krakowski breaks from Kalani's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Kalani tries to hold on but Krakowski postures up.
Krakowski prevents Kalani from getting the reversal.
Krakowski postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Kalani looks a forlorn figure.

Kalani is rocked!
Krakowski lands a big elbow - Kalani is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Kalani is forced to tap out!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Bernard Krakowski!
After winning the bout, Bernard Krakowski thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
