Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 20 - 17 - 0, fighting out of New York, Sergey Objedkov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 24 - 18 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Peter Petrov!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrov misses with a takedown attempt
letting Objedkov counter with a right hand.
Petrov goes for a double leg but Objedkov avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Objedkov continues to drive forward.

We've been hearing good reports from Objedkov's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Petrov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Objedkov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Petrov is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Objedkov pulls his head out easily.

Petrov shoots in for a takedown but Objedkov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Objedkov gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Petrov tries to break the clinch but Objedkov is controlling the position.
Objedkov lands a hook that snaps the head of Petrov backwards.
Objedkov digs a right hand into Petrov's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Petrov's gas tank.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Objedkov creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Objedkov pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Petrov closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Objedkov quickly recovers to half guard.

Petrov throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Objedkov escapes and throws Petrov's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Objedkov looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Petrov with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Objedkov is sitting in half guard. He's postured up and lands a nice elbow. Oh, Petrov is hurt! He's hurt bad - Objedkov fires away with more strikes and the referee jumps in to save Petrov from any more punishment! Congratulations to Objedkov! Great finish!
