The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Peppers throws a right and a left that both miss.
Peppers shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Morris as he avoids it easily.

Morris closes the distance and clinches.
Morris tries to land knees in the clinch but Peppers avoids the damage to the body.

Morris seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Peppers does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Peppers is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Morris is surviving well by controlling Peppers's body position as best he can.

Peppers has hold of Morris's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Morris manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Peppers goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Morris is on top in guard.

Peppers has his foot on Morris's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Morris works his way back into a safe position though.

Peppers escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Morris gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Peppers had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Morris is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Peppers Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Morris's back instead.

Peppers is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Morris knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Morris for a finish.
