PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ian Stronk (ranked 1357 p4p, 3350 weight class) and Hanan Pacha (ranked 200 p4p, 441 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ian Stronk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Joseph Jones, Franklyn Lucas and Anthony Taglia.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stronk takes one to the side of the head.
Donk. Pacha catches Stronk right on the button with a cross.
Stronk tries to close the distance and clinch up but Pacha swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Stronk swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Pacha moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Stronk with a nice cross.
Pacha misses with a hook. Stronk ducked under it nicely.
Good shot there by Pacha.
A looping hook to the body misses from Stronk. Pacha does a little dance to reset his feet.
Stronk misses with a few strikes there.
Stronk throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A right hook to the body lands for Stronk.
Pacha is trying to break the clinch but Stronk has him pressed against the cage.
Stronk lands with a short punch from the clinch.

Pacha breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A punch lands to the side of Stronk 's head but he takes it in his stride.
A big left from Stronk misses.
Pacha takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Pacha steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Stronk.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Stronk ducks right into an uppercut from Pacha.
Pacha lands with a slapping head kick.
Some wild striking there from Stronk.
Stronk connects with a single shot there.
Stronk fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Stronk looks to score with a jab to the body but Pacha is just out of range.
Pacha looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Stronk throws a body shot but no joy.
Pacha moves into range and connects with a jab.
Stronk feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Pachas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Stronk tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Pacha was well out of range. Poor timing from Stronk.
Stronk throws a nice looking combination but Pacha bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stronk throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Stronk throws a body punch but Pacha moves out of range.
Stronk just misses with a punch to the body.
Stronk lands a really nice looking cross but Pacha seems unphased.

Pacha closes the distance and clinches.

Pacha manages to break the clinch.
Stronk tries to clinch up but Pacha circles away and keeps his distance.

Stronk throws a shot to the body.

Stronk closes the distance and pushes Pacha back into the cage.
Stronk stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Pacha tries to circle away but Stronk has him pinned against the cage.

Pacha's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Pacha on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Stronk is looking to clinch.
Pacha looks like he wants to counter punch here.
Stronk throws a body punch but Pacha moves out of range.
Stronk's corner calls for a 1-2. Stronk obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

It looks like Hanan Pacha has been cut.
Stronk lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Pacha circles away quickly and effectively.
Stronk uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Pacha is rocked!
Crack! Stronk connects with the perfect overhand right and Pacha falls face first to the canvas. Timbeeeeeeeer! Beautiful knockout for Stronk!
