Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Joe Eigo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Bond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Joe Eigo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Bond!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bond doesn't manage to clinch there - Eigo circles away.

Bond gets a clinch.

Eigo pulls guard successfully.
Eigo wants to sweep but no luck.
Bond postures up in Eigo's guard and throws a big left but Eigo blocks it.
Eigo working a defensive guard here.
Bond stopping the sweep attempt from Eigo.
Bond pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Eigo is keeping the position for now.
Eigo seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bond passes Eigo's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Bond is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Eigo doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Bond.
Bond missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Eigo trying to control from the bottom.
Bond trying to pass the guard but Eigo defending well.

Bond is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Eigo wants to get back to full guard.
It looks like Bond is going to stand back up.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Eigo looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Eigo missing with a left hand there. Bond was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Bond has a takedown stuffed.
Eigo stuffs the takedown.
Bond looks gassed!
Bond takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Some wild striking there from Eigo.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Eigo.
Bond is not content to let Eigo control the position.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Bond tries to improve position but can't.
Bond takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Bond on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Bond manages to work his way to half guard, despite Eigo's best efforts.
Bond is refusing to be controlled, as Eigo sits in half guard.
Eigo scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Eigo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bond keeps working.
Bond makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Bond.
Eigo landing some decent shots from guard.

Bond had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Eigo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Bond Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Eigo's back instead.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Eigo rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.

Bond is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Eigo missing with punches from the bottom.

Bond seems to be working for a kimura but Eigo defends the submission attempt.

Bond looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Bond is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Eigo!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Bond goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Eigo is on top in guard.
Eigo is looking to work some ground and pound but Bond has wrist control.

Bond working for a triangle but Eigo defends it easily.

Bond has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Eigo can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Bond looking for a sweep. Not yet Bond, not yet.
Eigo sitting in guard here, content to control.
Eigo trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
Eigo wants to pass the guard but Bond is keeping the position.
Eigo throws a big right hand that misses.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Joe Eigo dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Eigo digs a good hook to Bond's body.

Bond gets caught flat footed, as Eigo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Bond being controlled here, momentarily.

Eigo avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Bond throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Bond keeping moving, preventing Eigo from controlling successfully.
Bond keeping full guard, as Eigo tries to pass.
Eigo with a nice head shot there.
Eigo tries to free his leg and advance position but Bond is retaining full guard.

Bond is looking for a triangle here but Eigo uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Eigo works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Bond gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bond is trying desperately to improve position.
Eigo sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Eigo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Bond is looking to get to half guard.
Eigo cracks Bond with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Eigo scoring with strikes but Bond is staying in there.
Eigo lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Eigo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Eigo content just to control the position here.
Eigo postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Bond looks a forlorn figure.
Bond is trying desperately to improve position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Eigo tries to control but Bond wriggling away.
Bond working to try and regain half guard.

Bond tries to improve his position but Eigo has taken his back! Eigo has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Bond tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! Eigo Pushes Bond away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Joe Eigo!
