Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julius Jenkins (ranked 2918 p4p, 3307 weight class) and Corbin Phelps (ranked 0 p4p, 377 weight class). Corbin Phelps is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Julius Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Corbin Phelps!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and Percy O'Donnell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Jenkins is defended easily by Phelps.
Phelps throws out a powerful jab.
It looks like Julius Jenkins has been cut.
Jenkins closes the distance and pushes Phelps back into the cage.
Jenkins tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Phelps smiles and moves away.
Phelps tries to bum rush Jenkins with a series of wild strikes but Jenkins uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Corbin Phelps seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jenkins tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Phelps swivels and escapes.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Julius Jenkins. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Phelps comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Phelps swinging wildly here.
As Phelps backs away, Jenkins returns fire with a leg kick that just misses.
Phelps misses with a few strikes there.
Jenkins darts in looking for a takedown but Phelps gets double underhooks and turns Jenkins into the cage.
Phelps throws a counter combo.
Jenkins is trying to pull guard but Phelps turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Jenkins fails to pull guard.
Jenkins tries for a takedown. No joy.
Jenkins tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Jenkins is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Phelps pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Jenkins drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Phelps gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Phelps wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Jenkins has him pressed against the cage.
Jenkins's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Jenkins has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Phelps is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Jenkins is struggling to control the position.
Jenkins's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Phelps drops Jenkins with a beautiful combination! Jenkins stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Phelps is looking for the KO!
Jenkins is rocked!
Phelps cracks Jenkins's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Jenkins slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Phelps can do further damage! This one is done, son!
