The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Conningham takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Mitchelson goes for a double leg but Conningham avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Conningham continues to drive forward.
Conningham throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mitchelson's waist but Mitchelson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Conningham off to one side.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Conningham is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Conningham has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Mitchelson should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Conningham has tightened it up now! Mitchelson should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
