Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Darren Harged (ranked 3681 p4p, 4399 weight class) and Professor Ozu (ranked 0 p4p, 465 weight class). Professor Ozu is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Darren Harged!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Professor Ozu!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Chris Edwards and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Harged tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.
Harged shoots for a takedown but Ozu saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Harged.
Ozu gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Harged is pushing down on Ozu's leg trying to pass to half guard. Ozu is fighting to maintain full guard but Harged has managed to sneak the leg through.
Harged stops Ozu from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Harged with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Harged prevents Ozu from standing back up.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Harged looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Harged is taking a breather. Ozu says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Ozu tries to get to full guard but Harged has control of the leg.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Harged in particular looking to stall.
Harged has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Ozu defend it? Harged steps over the head and cranks it - Ozu is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Harged!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Darren Harged!
