Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Frank Newman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and JB Black (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Black has chosen Walk as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Newman tries to clinch up but Black circles away and keeps his distance.
Newman thows a body shot but no joy.
Black gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Black takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.

Newman shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Newman changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Black tries to avoid it but Newman manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Black to the ground. Black escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Newman connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Black clobbers Newman with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Newman will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Newman is trying to hold Black in close to prevent damage but Black has managed to pass into half guard.
Black lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Black really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Newman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Black is working for a submission of some sort.
It looks like Black is going to stand back up.

Newman slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Black drops back looking for a leg! Newman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Newman manages to kick Black off! Black jumps back into Newman's guard.

Black must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Newman is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
