Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arthur King (ranked 3510 p4p, 4041 weight class) and Arturito Tampukpuk (ranked 416 p4p, 448 weight class). Arturito Tampukpuk will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King misses the jab.

and Tampukpuk counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
King throws a jab but it's blocked by Tampukpuk.
King seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
King misses with a few strikes there.
King throws a body punch but Tampukpuk moves out of range.

It seemed like Tampukpuk was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Tampukpuk has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

King closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Tampukpuk sneaks out the side door and pushes King away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

King does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Tampukpuk looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.

and Tampukpuk counters with a three punch combo that has King backing up. King nods at Tampukpuk to acknowledge the strikes.

King seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Tampukpuk does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. King connects with a nice short shot to Tampukpuk's temple.
