Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Holden Gracie (ranked 348 p4p, 332 weight class) and Darwin Zambrano (ranked 57 p4p, 51 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Holden Gracie!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Darwin Zambrano!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Zambrano dodges the punch combination from Gracie.
Holden Gracie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gracie throws a hook to the side of Zambrano's head but Zambrano sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Zambrano thinks about the counter body kick.
Gracie doesn't manage to clinch there - Zambrano circles away.
Gracie has been working on his boxing with his coaches at HELLCADEMY in the buildup to the fight.
Gracie throws a nice head kick!
Gracie misses with an uppercut
and Zambrano makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Gracie tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Gracie throws the left hand but Zambrano avoids the punch easily.
Gracie digs a good body shot into Zambrano's ribs.

An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Zambrano.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zambrano is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Gracie is defending well.
Zambrano doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Zambrano has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Gracie lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Zambrano backwards.
Zambrano swings wildly with an uppercut but Gracie uses good head movement to avoid it.
Zambrano has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Gracie after a bit of a struggle.

Gracie breaks the clinch.
Zambrano drives through with a takedown into guard.
Zambrano stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Gracie swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Gracie wants to sweep here but Zambrano controlling him for the moment.
Gracie has Zambrano pulled in close to control his posture.

Gracie tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gracie is pulling down on Zambrano's head. It's preventing any offense from Zambrano, at least for the moment.

Gracie seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Zambrano throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Gracie on the side of the head.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gracie misses with a hook. Zambrano ducked under it nicely.

Zambrano is keen to just control but Gracie is a slippery customer.
Gracie wants to control but Zambrano is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Zambrano has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Gracie tries to roll over but Zambrano keeps him under control.

Zambrano seems to be trying to get a kimura but instead Gracie has recovered full guard.
Gracie not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Zambrano with a flurry of punches that miss.
Zambrano is pushing down on Gracie's leg trying to pass to half guard. Gracie is fighting to maintain full guard but Zambrano has managed to sneak the leg through.
Zambrano is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Gracie is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Darwin Zambrano!
Darwin Zambrano spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
