Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between VC Barre (ranked 2393 p4p, 1994 weight class) and Ivan Sidorov (ranked 315 p4p, 262 weight class). Ivan Sidorov is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

With a record of 6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ivan Sidorov!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sidorov tries to score a power double leg takedown but Barre sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Sidorov somewhat.
Sidorov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

VC Barre has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Sidorov.
Barre throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Sidorov.

It looks like Ivan Sidorov has been cut.
Sidorov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Barre's waist but Barre gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Sidorov off to one side.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Sidorov.
Sidorov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Sidorov drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Barre is trying to get back to half guard.
Barre is working hard here to advance position.
Barre takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sidorov advances to mount.
Barre is looking to improve his position but Sidorov isn't that keen on the idea.

Sidorov takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Barre tries to get to full guard but Sidorov has control of the leg.
Sidorov is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Barre!
Barre is bucking up trying to escape but Sidorov cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sidorov cracks Barre with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
The referee warns Barre that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Barre slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sidorov is nestled in close to Barre, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Sidorov working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Sidorov works his foot free and advances to mount.

A relieved looking Ivan Sidorov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
