Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Nazaire Chenevert (ranked 631 p4p, 2155 weight class) and Jo Monkee (ranked 83 p4p, 277 weight class). Both these fighters are unbeaten, so somebody's 0 has got to go!I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jo Monkee was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Illya Tyunina and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Monkee misses with a hook. Chenevert ducked under it nicely.
A slow jab from Monkee misses its intended target.
Chenevert steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Monkee.

We've been told by Chenevert's head coaches at FIST OF FURY that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Monkee throws a lazy uppercut
enabling Chenevert to counter with a crisp jab.
It looks like Jo Monkee has been cut.
Chenevert lands with a hook. Monkee tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looked like Chenevert was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Monkee.

Monkee takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
That has opened up Jo Monkee's cut even more.

Jo Monkee seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Monkee misses with a hook.
Chenevert is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Chenevert swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Monkee throws a sloppy body shot
and Chenevert counters with a stiff right hand.
The cut above Jo Monkee's eye is starting to cause him problems now.

Chenevert uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Monkee.
Monkee swings widly with a right hand
and Chenevert counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Monkee lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.
Chenevert drops Monkee with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Monkee looks back up at him and smiles so Chenevert waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Monkee is rocked!

Chenevert lands a big uppercut and Monkee crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Monkee looks OK. Chenevert waves Monkee back to his feet!
Monkee is still on wobbly legs! Can Chenevert finish him?
Jo Monkee's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.
Chenevert drops Monkee with a huge uppercut! Monkee drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes. Chenevert is raining down punches and the ref stops the fight! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:15 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Nazaire Chenevert!
