Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Deebo Samuel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, God Ops!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Chris Downing and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ops shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Samuel is trying to defend but Ops finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Ops performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Samuel wants to control but Ops is keeping busy.
Samuel is trying to stand up here but Ops is controlling him well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Samuel is looking to control Ops's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Samuel avoid being mounted?
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ops is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Samuel trying to control here.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Samuel is looking for a sweep. Ops is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Samuel is working hard here to advance position.
Ops perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Samuel knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ops on the ground.

Samuel could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Samuel wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Ops in particular looking to stall.

Ops stands up out of the half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Samuel throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Ops sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Samuel throws a body shot but no joy.
Ops unleashes a big counter combination but Samuel bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Ops throws a right hand that Samuel ducks under and follows up with a left that Samuel also avoids with ease.
Samuel throws a jab but it's blocked by Ops.
A swing and a miss from Samuel.
Samuel throws a lazy uppercut

and Ops counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Samuel being controlled here, momentarily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Ops stopping the sweep attempt from Samuel.
Samuel has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Ops has passed into side control.
Ops controls the position from side control.
Samuel tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Ops decides to stand back up.
Samuel falls off balance throwing a combination

and Ops counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Ops scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Ops is taking a breather. Samuel says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Samuel tries to roll over but Ops keeps him under control.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ops is trying for a kimura here. Samuel looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Ops wins by kimura!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). God Ops!
A very excited looking God Ops made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
