The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denato fails with a takedown attempt.
Machida looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Denato scores a takedown into full mount!
Denato putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
It looks like Lyoto Machida has been cut.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Denato takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Denato looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Machida is desperately trying to improve his position but Denato has a good base and remains in mount.

Denato breaks from Machida's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Denato is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Machida goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Denato!
