Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ioelu Vavau!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kian Griffiths!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, James Ackerman and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffiths throws a looping overhand right but Vavau ducks down to avoid it.
Griffiths waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Vavau.
It looked like Vavau wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Vavau slips a straight right by Griffiths.
A little feinted left hand from Vavau on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Griffiths misses with a hook. Vavau ducked under it nicely.
Griffiths throws a nice outside leg kick.
Griffiths scores with a nice body kick.
Griffiths cracks Vavau with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Kian Griffiths seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
An inside leg kick lands from Griffiths.
Griffiths throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
A little feinted left hand from Vavau on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Vavau ducks under a wild hook from Griffiths.

Vavau really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Griffiths chopping away at his opponent's legs.
A lazy left from Griffiths finds it's target.
The fighters circle momentarily. Griffiths darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Griffiths scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Griffiths misses with a left hand
and Vavau cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Vavau drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.

Vavau is rocked!
Griffiths fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Vavau has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Oh Vavau is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Griffiths feints a jab promting Vavau to slip. Griffiths then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Vavau slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A cross from Griffiths lands.
Vavau looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Vavau gets clipped by a big right hand and goes down spinning to the canvas! Griffiths gets the back mount and begins to drop bombs on his rocked foe! Vavau is too out of it to defend against the strikes and the referee jumps in to save him from the beatdown!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kian Griffiths!
