Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Stephen Rowley!
The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Ian Loll and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good work by Berkut as he checks the leg kick.
An inside leg kick from Rowley misses.
Rowley throws a lazy body kick

and Berkut counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Berkut.
Berkut throwing strikes from guard but Rowley blocks nicely.
Berkut lands a couple of digs.

Berkut forces his way into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Rowley is looking for a sweep. Berkut is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Berkut slips a nice elbow through Rowley's hands, connecting with Rowley's forehead.
Rowley wants to get back to full guard but Berkut has passed into side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Rowley can do anything to dispel that myth.

Berkut seems to be looking for submissions.
Rowley is not content to let Berkut control the position.

Rowley has momentary wrist control but Berkut slips an elbow through the middle.

Rowley pulls Berkut in close to his closed guard and prevents Berkut from doing any damage or advancing position.
Berkut trying to control the position from guard on top but Rowley is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Berkut landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Rowley is rocked!
Berkut lands a big elbow - Rowley is out of it! He's waving his arms around but his eyes are closed and he's not intelligently defending himself - the ref has no choice but to jump in and stop the fight! This one is in the books! A TKO win for Berkut!
