Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mareth Line (ranked 610 p4p, 619 weight class) and Itchy Sinclair (ranked 82 p4p, 84 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Itchy Sinclair enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 18 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mareth Line!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 3, fighting out of Las Vegas, Itchy Sinclair!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Line throws a jab when Sinclair was well out of range.
Sinclair scores with a shot to the body.

Sinclair closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Line quickly recovers to half guard.
Line moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Sinclair controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Line pulls Sinclair in close to his closed guard and prevents Sinclair from doing any damage or advancing position.
Line tries to land a sweep but no joy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Line wants to stand and escape but Sinclair is having none of it.

Line being controlled here, momentarily.
Line working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Sinclair.

Sinclair is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Line is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Line has escaped and now he's on top!

Sinclair is trying to keep Line in close.
Line has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Line showing good wrestling skills to control the position.
Line is fighting to break Sinclair's control of his arms but Sinclair is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Sinclair is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Line slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Line would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Line is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Sinclair not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Line dodges the punch combination from Sinclair.
Sinclair keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A jab from Line finds it's way through Sinclair's defenses.
Sinclair walks into a stiff left hand from Line.
Line swings widly with a right hand

Line pushes Sinclair off looking to stand but Sinclair dives back in and keeps control.

Line is not content to let Sinclair control the position.
Sinclair lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Sinclair is working for a kimura but Line is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Sinclair wants to take a breather but Line is having none of it.
Line is trying to get back to full guard.
Sinclair prevents Line from standing back up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Sinclair is looking for a kimura here.
Line trying to keep hold of his opponent's head but Sinclair manages to pass to mount!
Sinclair is trying to control here but Line has managed to regain half guard.
Sinclair seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Line does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Sinclair in particular looking to stall.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Itchy Sinclair will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

A looping hook to the body misses from Line. Sinclair does a little dance to reset his feet.
Sinclair lands with a nice body punch.
Line lands with a right hand.
Sinclair cracks a nice hook into Line's ribs.
Sinclair shoots in looking for a takedown but Line manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sinclair's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Sinclair moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Itchy Sinclair is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Sinclair swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Sinclair delivers a nice body kick.

Sinclair keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
A big left from Line misses.
Line throws a push kick but Sinclair slaps the foot to one side.
Sinclair is clearly trying to counter these attacks from Line with a body shot.

Sinclair uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Line.
Line swings for the body but Sinclair moves out of range.
Line throws a sloppy head kick
and Sinclair counters with a body kick that stops Line in his tracks momentarily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Line gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Sinclair looking to pass the guard.
Sinclair not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Line looking to control but Sinclair passes into half guard.

Line is looking to escape.
Sinclair trying to mount his opponent but Line defends it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sinclair not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Sinclair wants to take a breather but Line is having none of it.
Sinclair lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Sinclair looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Line with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Line is refusing to be controlled, as Sinclair sits in half guard.
Itchy Sinclair has got the better of the ground game so far.
Line is looking to escape.
Line wants to improve his position but Sinclair is controlling well.
Sinclair is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Line wants to control but Sinclair is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Sinclair works his foot free and advances to mount.
Sinclair scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Sinclair fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Sinclair pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Sinclair tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Sinclair goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Line turns into him and now he's in Sinclair's guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Itchy Sinclair showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Sinclair cracks Line with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Line will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Sinclair lands a nice looking kick to the body. Line takes a step back to recover.
Sinclair scores with a hook to the body. Line takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Line looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Sinclair is looking to land body kicks.
Sinclair lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Line backs up against the cage.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sinclair checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Sinclair thuds a left hand into Line's body.
Line keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Sinclair shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Line is trying to defend but Sinclair finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Sinclair has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Line wants to improve his position but Sinclair is controlling well.
Sinclair stalling away here and it's allowed Line to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.

Our spies down at at Roosters Coop inform us that Sinclair has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Sinclair is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Sinclair closes the distance and clinches up with Line, looking for a takedown. Sinclair pushes Line against the cage but Line circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

The fighters circling - Line throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Sinclair avoids the body shot from Line.
Sinclair jabs Line to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Sinclair's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Sinclair duly obliges.

Itchy Sinclair comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sinclair has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
