The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Both fighters are only really looking to counter, so after a good 30 seconds of circling each other endlessly, the referee has stepped in and told them both to be more aggressive.
Wieland keeps the fight on the outside.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Van Soest wants to clinch up but Wieland keeps it at a distance.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Van Soest takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Van Soest seems to have come into the fight with the intention of avoiding any damage in the clinch, rather than actually showing any aggression.

Randy Wieland comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Wieland has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
