Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between John Lawrence (ranked 1555 p4p, 1705 weight class) and Shaun Brownie (ranked 206 p4p, 226 weight class). Lawrence's entrance music is No Surrender. A fine choice. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawrence has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Lawrence misses with a looping left.
No joy there for Lawrence, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Lawrence fails to land with a series of punches.
Brownie jabs Lawrence right on the nose. Lawrence blinks but takes it well.

Brownie misses with an uppercut. Lawrence saw that one coming.

Lawrence uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brownie.

Brownie throws a lazy right hand but Lawrence sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Brownie is nestled in close to Lawrence, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

A close round but Shaun Brownie will probably get the nod.
That's time! Lawrence's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

It looked like Lawrence wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Brownie has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
The fighters circling - Brownie throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Brownie keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
A jab from Lawrence finds it's way through Brownie's defenses.
Lawrence tries to close the distance and clinch up but Brownie swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lawrence shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Brownie as he avoids it easily.

John Lawrence seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brownie tries to bum rush Lawrence with a series of wild strikes but Lawrence uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Brownie throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Lawrence tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Brownie is in Lawrence's guard.

Lawrence working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Brownie doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Brownie manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Lawrence is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Brownie frees his head nicely. Oh but Lawrence has switched to an armbar! Brownie is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
