Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Gouveia fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Mir to the ground. Gouveia is now in Mir's guard.

Gouveia thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gouveia wants to pass the guard but Mir is keeping the position.

Mir is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gouveia defends well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gouveia wants to control from the top but Mir keeps moving.

Mir looking for a triangle here. Gouveia is fighting it but it looks tight! Mir pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Gouveia is tapping out - this one is all over!
