Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Cuervo Oquendo (ranked 2464 p4p, 3266 weight class) and Juha Ahokas (ranked 320 p4p, 399 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 6 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cuervo Oquendo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Juha Ahokas!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oquendo connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
That kick from Oquendo tenderised Ahokas's leg. Ahokas is trying to keep his angry face on.
Ahokas has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Ahokas throws a body punch but Oquendo moves out of range.
Ahokas shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Oquendo defends it nicely.

Oquendo got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ahokas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Oquendo has managed to get both his arms back between Ahokas's legs - danger averted.

That was a close second round but I would say that Cuervo Oquendo will probably get the nod.

A very excited looking Cuervo Oquendo rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
