The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Washington takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Washington throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Washington walks into a straight right hand from Bumblekunt.
Bumblekunt throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Washington appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.

Washington closes the distance and clinches.

Bumblekunt breaks from the clinch.
Washington avoids the body shot from Bumblekunt.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Washington.

Washington stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Washington shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Bumblekunt is trying to defend but Washington finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Washington decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.

Bumblekunt feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Washingtons jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Washington tries to clinch but Bumblekunt moves away
enabling Bumblekunt to counter with a crisp jab.

Washington shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bumblekunt's guard.
Washington is breathing heavily.

Bumblekunt wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Washington is now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Washington postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Bumblekunt to stand up.

and Washington takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Bumblekunt moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.

It looks like George Washington has been cut.

Bumblekunt gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Washington to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Washington won't allow Bumblekunt to get back to his feet.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Bumblekunt is on top in guard.

Bumblekunt is pushing down on Washington's leg trying to pass to half guard. Washington is fighting to maintain full guard but Bumblekunt has managed to sneak the leg through.

Bumblekunt perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.

Washington missing with punches from the bottom.
Bumblekunt tries to stand but his arm is trapped.
Bumblekunt thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Washington's head.
Bumblekunt seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Washington does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Bumblekunt stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Washington to get to his feet.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

and Bumblekunt scores with a counter punch that sends Washington to the canvas! Bumblekunt smells blood - he's punishing Washington with more strikes and the ref has stopped it! Washington has no idea where he is - he's tackled the ref... oh dear, poor guy, the crowd is in hysterics!
