Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mitzy Oros!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Geno Lawson!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Percy O'Donnell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawson bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Lawson!

It looks like Mitzy Oros has been cut.
Lawson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Lawson misses with an attempted mid kick.
Lawson lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Oros circles away quickly and effectively.
Oros throwing a counter right hand but Lawson manages to avoid it.
An inside leg kick from Oros misses.
Lawson throws a lazy right hand but Oros sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Lawson drives through and clinches with Oros against the cage.
Lawson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Oros successfully pulls guard.
Lawson preventing the sweep.
Lawson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Oros holds on and takes a little breather.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Oros might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Oros is on top in guard.

Oros pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Lawson is keeping the position for now.
Oros is in close to Lawson's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Oros lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Oros postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Oros throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Oros makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Oros working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Lawson's head.
Oros postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Oros wants to pass the guard but Lawson is keeping the position.
Oros trying to control the position from guard on top but Lawson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Oros lands a couple of elbows.
Oros cracks Lawson with a solid left hand.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Oros accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Oros has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Lawson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Oros's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Oros works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Oros working the head and body with strikes.
Oros lands strikes from half guard.
Oros landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Oros winds up and cracks Lawson with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Oros working over Lawson with some ground and pound. Lawson looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Lawson is rocked!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Oros works his way into side control.
Oros lands a decent elbow from side control.
Oros lands a few punches from side control.
Oros landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.
Lawson looks winded!
Lawson is looking for a sweep.
Lawson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Oros. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lawson is working to avoid the ground and pound but Oros connects with a decent elbow.

Oros is putting a hurting on Lawson here, landing some big shots from side control.
Oros looks up at the clock and then as Lawson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Oros smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Oros in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Lawson looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Oros turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mitzy Oros!
Mitzy Oros decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
