The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beckham Jr lands a nice looking body shot.
Versu throws a chopping leg kick but Beckham Jr manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
We've been informed that Versu has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Versu throws a low kick but Beckham Jr avoids it.
Versu avoids a punch combination nicely.
Beckham Jr lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Beckham Jr.
Beckham Jr will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Beckham Jr fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Versu manages to avoid it.

Versu throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Beckham Jr sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Versu throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Beckham Jr is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Versu knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Beckham Jr has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Versu is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Beckham Jr yanks on the arm and Versu is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Beckham Jr.
