The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mills looks to land a body kick but Swanson moved away.
Swanson looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Nice defenses there by Mills.
Swanson walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Mills checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.
Mills lands a really nice looking cross but Swanson seems unphased.
Mills cracks a nice hook into Swanson's ribs.

A quick step to the side and Swanson tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.

Swanson tries to move to mount but Mills blocks the move with his legs.
Mills is still in real trouble! Can Swanson finish him?

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee asks Swanson politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Swanson prefers to stall for the moment though.
Mills is trying to get back to half guard.
Swanson passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Mills!
Swanson lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
